Dritek Foundation Solutions Case Studies: Bowing Wall Needed Stabilization in Snellville, GA

Challenge

Mr. Olen called Dritek Foundation Solutions regarding his rental home that was leaking water into the basement. When his contractor demoed the finished walls they found that the block foundation wall was cracked and bowing. Mr. Olen called Dritek to stabilize the cracked and bowing walls. Owner, Brandon Murray went out to inspect the home. During his inspection, the laser level indicated over two inches of inward movement. There was also sheering in mortar joints of the block wall. Mr. Murry explained that the water caused the soil loads to increase enough to lead to the wall failure. 

Solution

Mr. Olen was given the option to straighten the wall and stabilize it all in one day, with the Geo-Lock Wall Anchors. He decided to move forward with that solution. Five wall anchors were installed, and  everything went perfectly and Dritek left him with a permanent stabilized and straight foundation wall.
